oh sunny weekends...

Had ice cream and fun vintage shopping with lovely Matina on the Drive yesterday...

I was thinking yesterday as I walked along Commercial to meet Matina about the first time I ever visited the neighbourhood, when I was 17, and I found it soooo overwhelming.  Then when I  moved to Vancouver, while I was going to UBC, I remember a few of my friends lived in this part of East Van, and I hated it.  I remember thinking how it would be such a terrible and depressing place to live...

Isn't it funny how now I live here and it feels so much like home, so vibrant and inspiring...  Funny how we grow and change!
