1. Show us the inside of something cute.

This is my absolute favourite piece of jewelry. It was my Grandma Jean's, she died when I was five so I never really knew her, but apparently we had a lot in common. She was a knitter, sewer, baker, and fashionista... I guess we would have had a lot in common. Her initials, JF, are engraved on the front, and inside are pictures of my Grandma Jean and Grandpa Charles on my Mom's family's farm in Manitoba.

2. What's the last home cooking you had?

This fluffy omelette my Dad made me for breakfast when I was visiting this weekend. Amazing and delicious.

3. What do you miss?

Working on this! It was a GREAT four months, but I'm excited to see it come to completion...

4. What makes you laugh often?

This!

5. What's your favorite word?

Probably "magical." My least favourite word is "auxiliary" because I can't say it.

6. What are you trying to quit?

Cigarettes. Yuck.

Also trying to quit Starbucks. Well, I HAVE quit Starbucks, I am just trying hard not to fall off the wagon now that pumpkin spice lattes are back... Damn them and their delicious seasonal drinks!

7. What's your favorite commercial right now?

Well, I saw one the other day for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... It was a Halloween commercial... I just loved it because it got me in the mood for Halloween! My favourite holiday by far. That said, I'm not such a huge fan of Reese's PBCs...

8. Whose style do you dig?

Lately I have been really loving the costumes on True Blood for Sookie Stackhouse. I love how sweet the clothes are in contrast to the sensuality of the show, and the fierce stubborness of Anna Paquin's character. She wears the kinds of dresses I would LIVE IN if I lived somewhere as warm as the south. And if I could afford to buy lots and lots of vintage dresses.

And I have also always always loved Gwen Stefani. Combined with Audrey Hepburn, these two are my constant style icons.

Ok, I'm still really new to the world of blogging and I still don't read too many of them. The one that I find continuously SO inspiring is Elsie's blog, A Beautiful Mess, and the newest to be bookmarked is Corinne's, I Heart Mondays.

10. What's the last craft you made?

These two plushie owls for the RVA Autumn Craft Class!

11. A photo of the last happy mail you got :]

A copy of my friend Chris's EP. It's actually the only personal for fun mail I've gotten since a few birthday cards in July. Which is really a shame because I LOVE to write letters. Hey there blog readers, want to be pen pals?

12. Something you've got lately?

My new fall beret (from H&M).

And also new yarn in fall colours! Very excited to turn these into a cozy scarf.

13. What are you looking forward to?

15. Recent Favorite Movie?

Oh geez. It's kind of sad to admit I haven't seen a REALLY good movie in ages, but VIFF (the Vancouver International Film Festival) starts in the next week or so, so that should change VERY soon! This is probably the best film I've seen in the last four months.

16. Something you're working on right now?

A screenplay. Well, a story that will turn into a screenplay. Maybe. Someday.

17. If a movie were made about you, who would play you?

Natalie Portman. That girl has beauty, brains, and wit. She will be cool forever.

18. What gives you goosebumps?

Right now, this trailer!

20. What's the meaning of your life?

This quote (from Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver) about sums it up for me right now:

You keep your eyes open, you see this damned-to-hell world you got born into, and you ask yourself, "What life can I live that will let me breathe in & out and love somebody or something and not run off screaming into the woods?"

I guess that's what I'm still trying to figure out.
